Attractive design and decor, comfortable lounge areas, inviting pub atmosphere

The bathroom cleanliness leaves much to be desired!!! Wi-Fi issues were frustrating, and the dining area needed a thorough clean. Service felt slow and inconsistent at times, which dampened the overall experience!!!

    great atmosphere
    poor housekeeping

I had a wonderful time at this charming pub with a roaring fire, and the food was absolutely perfect. The full English breakfast was delicious, and the upgrade to a lovely, spacious room made my stay even better! I'd definitely come back again.

What a fantastic experience! The cozy atmosphere made it feel like home. The bathroom had both a bath and shower, and I loved the comfy bed after a long day. I particularly enjoyed the locally sourced dinner, which blew me away with its flavor.

easy access to parks and impressive historical landmarks

During my stay, I really appreciated the nearby parks like Hocombe Mead, perfect for a leisurely stroll, and the proximity to The Great Hall, which was a remarkable historical site to explore. the ambiance and character of the hotel made it feel more like a cozy retreat than just a place to rest my head at night.

Just a top selection for exploring town in Winchester with all in all brilliant value for money. The coffee facilities in the room were a pleasant surprise, featuring a pod machine that was much better than the usual options. Make sure to enjoy their local ales while lounging in the beer garden.

    great location
    friendly staff
    good breakfast
    limited menu
    noise from road

the location is super nice, close to winchester but not right in the hustle. the building is lovely and has a real charm. breakfast was pretty darn good too! the staff are super helpful and friendly, which made our stay more enjoyable.

only thing was the menu had some options missing so kinda limited on choices and the room was a bit noisy from the road outside.

    long waits
    early closing

The atmosphere at The King's Head was enjoyable, with friendly staff and tasty food. the service could improve, as some waits were quite long, especially for drinks. It was disappointing to find them closed early without notice, which added to the experience's frustration.

    Charming Atmosphere with Great Food

I recently enjoyed a delightful stay, where the atmosphere was cozy and inviting. The room's quirky decor made it feel unique, and I was particularly impressed with the locally sourced dinner, which was packed with flavor. A slight downside was that the bathroom amenities could have been updated for a more luxurious experience.
